Privacy policy
What this covers
tnbusiness is a platform that lets merchants run their own online shop (a “storefront”) and lets shoppers buy from those shops. This policy covers the whole platform: the dashboard merchants use to run their shop, the storefronts shoppers buy from, and the one sign-in service (auth.tnbusiness.tn) both go through. A shop’s own domain (for example a merchant’s custom domain) is covered by this same policy — there is no separate privacy policy per shop.
The two kinds of account
tnbusiness keeps merchants and shoppers as two separate kinds of account. A merchant account is someone running a shop — their data is shared across every shop they own. A shopper account is someone buying — their profile (name, email, phone) is one account across every shop on the platform, but their orders, saved addresses and order history belong to the specific shop they bought from and are never shown to a different shop. The same person can hold both kinds of account without either one knowing about the other.
What we collect, and why
- From Google Sign-In (the only way to sign in — there are no passwords): your name, email address and profile picture. We ask Google for nothing else.
- Phone number — asked for separately, after sign-in, because cash-on-delivery orders need a number a courier can actually call. Optional for a merchant until their first order needs it; typed by a shopper at checkout.
- Delivery addresses a shopper saves or types at checkout — street, city, governorate, and any delivery notes (e.g. “call before you knock”). Notes typed for one order are not copied onto a saved address automatically.
- Cart and wishlist contentson each shop you browse, so your bag doesn’t empty itself between visits.
- Order history, per shop — what you bought, when, and what you paid. A merchant sees orders placed at their own shop and nowhere else.
- For merchants: everything about the shop itself — products, prices, stock, domain, and the subscription/billing records for operating it.
TikTok Live phone-number tool
tnbusiness includes an optional tool that lets a merchant connect their own TikTok Live stream and automatically pick out phone numbers that viewers type into the public comments during that stream — a common way Tunisian sellers take orders live. These are numbers a person chose to post publicly in a comment, not numbers we collect from anywhere private; the tool exists to save a merchant from typing them out by hand. A merchant can exclude specific numbers from being collected at all (the “blacklist” feature). If you commented your number on a merchant’s TikTok Live and want it removed from their export, contact that merchant directly, or write to us at the address below and we will help.
What we never do
We don’t sell personal data to anyone. We don’t show a merchant what a shopper bought at a different shop, or that they have an account at all until they do something at that specific shop. We don’t require a phone number, address or payment card to browse or create an account — guest checkout exists precisely so nobody has to hand over an account to place one order.
Deleting your account
Both a shopper account and a merchant account can be deleted from inside the account itself — the request form at auth.tnbusiness.tn/account for shoppers, or the Account page in the dashboard for merchants. Submitting the request does not delete anything immediately: your account and data are erased 15 days later, and you can cancel the request at any time before then from the same page. You keep using the account normally during those 15 days.
When the 15 days pass: your name, email, Google connection, saved cart and wishlist items are permanently removed. A merchant’s request also closes every shop they still own — any order not yet shipped is cancelled; orders already shipped or delivered are left as they are, because the physical delivery already happened.
What is never deleted:orders already placed. An order is the merchant’s own business and accounting record, and it already carries its own copy of the name, phone and address used at the time — deleting the shopper or merchant account does not blank out that record.
Who else sees your data
The merchant whose shop you buy from sees what you bought at their shop, your delivery details for that order, and nothing else. A courier company sees what it needs to deliver a parcel (name, phone, address) when a merchant hands an order to one. Payment for cash-on-delivery is taken in person by the courier — tnbusiness itself never holds a shopper’s payment card.
Cookies and sessions
We use cookies only to keep you signed in — on the shop you’re shopping at (24 hours), and on the central sign-in service so you don’t have to go through Google’s consent screen again at the next shop (30 days). No advertising or tracking cookies are set by the platform itself. A shop’s own merchant may add their own analytics to their storefront, separate from this.
